Pregnant Mums
Pregnancy brings incredible change, and your body is continually adapting as your baby grows.
As your posture, balance and movement change, everyday things can start to feel different. You may notice discomfort through your back, hips, pelvis or ribs, find certain movements more difficult, or simply feel less comfortable in your changing body.
Your nervous system plays an important role in carrying information between the brain and body and coordinating movement. This forms part of the bigger picture we consider when looking at how your body is moving and functioning throughout pregnancy.
While some physical changes are expected, that does not mean you have to simply put up with discomfort or keep working around it.
We take the time to listen to what you are experiencing, understand how it is affecting your day-to-day life and complete a thorough assessment based on your stage of pregnancy, history and presentation.
Your care is individualised, with techniques and positioning adapted to your comfort and changing body.
Our focus is on movement, function and helping you feel more comfortable and confident in your body as you move through pregnancy.
If your changing body is making everyday movement less comfortable, we can take a closer look at what may be contributing.
